Privacy Policy

The short version

Sylvelle collects nothing. No analytics, no advertising identifiers, no crash reports, no behavioural tracking. Every piece of data you enter stays on your device, encrypted by a passphrase only you know. We have no server to send it to even if we wanted to.

Data we collect

None. The app does not communicate with any server operated by us. It does not transmit usage data, crash reports, device identifiers, or any personal information.

Data stored on your device

All data you enter — journal entries, measurements, task progress, coaching preferences, and any photos or voice clips — is stored exclusively on your device. It is encrypted using AES-256 (SQLCipher for the database, AES-GCM for media files), secured by a passphrase you choose. We cannot access it under any circumstances.

Optional AI coach

If you choose to enable the optional AI coach, you provide your own API key from a third-party AI provider (such as OpenAI or a compatible service). Requests made through the AI coach are sent directly from your device to that provider, under their own privacy policy. We do not see or store these requests.

Permissions

The app may request the following device permissions:

  • Camera — used only for in-app photo journaling. Photos are encrypted immediately and never saved to your camera roll.
  • Microphone — used only for the voice trainer feature. Clips are encrypted on capture and stored locally.
  • Biometrics / fingerprint — used as a convenient layer over your passphrase lock. Biometrics never replace the passphrase and can be disabled.

All permissions are optional and can be revoked at any time in your device settings.

Third-party services

Sylvelle does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. This website uses no cookies and no tracking scripts.

Children and the Teen Edition

The Teen Edition is designed for users aged 13–17 and carries the same no-collection policy. No data about minor users is transmitted anywhere.
